If you want to aid in protecting, enhancing and sustaining public health and the environment through ensuring the sound design, construction and management of drinking water and wastewater systems, this job is for you!
As an Approvals Engineer, you will be responsible for approving activities related to the development, construction and management of a variety of drinking water and wastewater systems in the province. This employee will also be participating in the development of protocols, standards, codes of practice and regulations related to drinking water and wastewater systems.
You will work among a diverse and passionate team of professionals from fields including engineering, water quality, ecology, law, sociology, and public policy to name a few, that are leading this exciting challenge in our province.
The successful candidate should possess a Degree in Environmental Engineering or similar discipline with a focus on drinking water and wastewater treatment, a license to practice professional engineering from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS), and at least 4 years of directly related experience in the design, construction and/or evaluation of drinking water and wastewater facilities.
Note: Applicants with the required education but lesser experience may be considered for an Engineer-in-Training position at a lower management classification.
