Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Development, the Vice President, Construction Management will provide expert advice, reliable oversight and management throughout the lifecycle of large-scale development projects, from the project design phase to construction completion.  You will provide overall management, direction and oversight of the various project teams and be responsible for managing all project activities for the duration of the build, including the planning phase and managing timelines. As the overall senior leader for all things related to construction you will work closely with internal and external personnel to ensure project construction is executed in a timely, cost effective and efficient manner while maintaining the integrity of the development’s design and organizational objectives.

A highly skilled and well-respected construction leader, the ideal candidate has at least 10 years’ experience managing a team developing significant multi-use communities, infrastructure and high-rise buildings. Preferably, you will have hands-on experience with large scale residential construction developments, a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning, a P. Eng. designation, LEED accreditation, and/or a certification in Construction Project Management. As a results-oriented professional, you have the ability to prioritize and manage a construction team involved in multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously while keeping stakeholders consistently informed of any changes and developments within the project. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with executives, planners, designers, customers and front-line construction personnel.  You are a natural people leader and have the innate ability to work cohesively and effectively with large and diverse teams. You are known for your ability to think outside the box and to propose innovative solutions and recommendations for accomplishing objectives.
