Lecturer in Aerospace Option

The School of Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus located in Kelowna, BC invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Lecturer with expertise in Aerospace Engineering. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2023 for a 1-year term with the possibility of renewal thereafter.

Position

The Aerospace Option is the newest specialization at the School of Engineering. Our graduates receive a world-class education and are well-poised for employment within the rapidly-growing aerospace sector in the province of British Columbia. The successful candidate will support the delivery of this option by teaching courses related to aircraft design, aerospace structures, propulsion, materials, and manufacturing as well as existing courses within the Mechanical Engineering Program. Eligibility and duties

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels and provide service to the University and the community.
