Crane Manager

As a new world takes shape and supply chains become more complex, we simplify trade. Yes, we have modern, strategically positioned marine terminals and logistics parks — but what sets us apart is our team of experts and our unceasing commitment to excellence. We improve efficiency, we solve problems, we look ahead, and we continuously look for ways to make your world a simpler one. For us, going beyond is a brand of service that has made us a leader the world over.

Our dedicated team of over 36,500 employees from 103 countries cultivates long-standing relationships with governments, shipping lines, importers and exporters, communities and many other important constituents of the global supply chain to add value and provide quality services today and tomorrow. With a portfolio of 78 operating marine and inland terminals supported by over 50 related businesses across six continents, DP World aims to be essential to the bright future of global trade, ensuring everything we do has a long-lasting positive impact on economies and society.

With the 2017 completion of DP World’s Phase 2 North expansion project, Prince Rupert is now operating at a capacity of 1.35 million TEUs annually. This increased capacity means DP World can further support importers and exporters who favor Prince Rupert for its position as the most efficient and fastest route for trade between Asia and North America. With continued expansion plans, DP World is seeking a dynamic individual in the role of Crane Manager.

The Crane Manager ensures delivery of the highest quality equipment maintenance, repair and technical services while meeting all applicable standards and requirements in terms of safety, quality, timelines and cost. The Crane Manager provides direction to the Foremen and Longshore personnel to meet short and long-term production and maintenance goals. Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Crane Manager supervises, problem solves and makes decisions relating to all quay crane and RTG infrastructure and equipment on the DP World Prince Rupert site. The Crane Manager provides leadership to the foremen and unionized maintenance department to meet production and maintenance schedules and has full cost accountability as well as assigned capital project responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach and will bring a track record of having successfully led a unionized workforce at a heavy industrial site ensuring a high standard of quality, safety and reliability. The Crane Manager will be a critical thinker and project manager with excellent leadership ability, communication skills and current knowledge of relevant equipment.
