Director, Maintenance Performance

This is an exceptional opportunity for an engineering professional to join Canada Post and act as a safety champion by leading the development and implementation of national strategic programs that optimize mail processing equipment performance and reliability.

As Director of Maintenance Performance, you will lead a team of maintenance management professionals and reliability engineers that drive for continuous improvement using state-of-the-art Computerized Maintenance Management and Equipment Performance Monitoring systems,and proactively monitor equipment and maintenance program performance. A proven manager and team leader, you will ensure that technical and management training is available, spare parts inventories are managed effectively, and necessary documentation and procedures required by the Engineering and Maintenance community, to safely maintain equipment, are in place. By keeping abreast of advances in maintenance management practices, training and tools, youll be able to implement the most effective and efficient methods into the programs.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

You bring a successful track record to the role of Director of Maintenance Performance:

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical, an asset).
7 to 10 years of experience managing maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
5 or more years of experience managing people.
Experience in developing and deploying maintenance programs (preferably across multiple sites).
Extensive experience working with a computerized maintenance management system.
Experience in a unionized environment, an asset.
Project management experience, an asset.
Proven track record as a safety enabler in an industrial environment.
Excellent team-building and leadership skills and experience.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships, coach team members and peers, and influence without authority.
Eligibility for provincial professional engineering designation.
Exceptional analytical and computer skills (Excel, Access, Tableau).
Strong oral and written communication skills (English, required; French, an asset).
