The Crane/Bulk Manager, Mechanical will be a safety-driven professional who understands the need for critical asset management and brings a progressive mindset to leadership within a unionized environment.  Ensuring delivery of the highest quality equipment maintenance, repair, and technical services while meeting all applicable standards and requirements in terms of safety, quality, timelines, and cost, this role directs Foremen and Longshore personnel to meet short and long-term production and maintenance goals. Under the general direction of the Manager, Maintenance, the Crane/Bulk Manager, Mechanical supervises, problem solves, and makes decisions relating to all quay crane and bulk handling infrastructure and equipment on site. This role provides leadership to the foremen and unionized maintenance department to meet production and maintenance schedules and has full cost accountability as well as assigned capital project responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach and bring a track record of having successfully led a unionized workforce within a heavy industrial setting, ensuring a high standard of quality, safety and reliability. The Crane/Bulk Manager, Mechanical will be a critical thinker and project manager with excellent leadership ability, communication skills, and current knowledge of relevant equipment.
