DP World Canada’s Vancouver terminal is a high-growth environment. In the midst of a multi-year redevelopment and expansion project, the site requires a dynamic individual in the role of Manager, Mechanical.

The Manager, Crane Mechanical ensures delivery of the highest quality equipment maintenance, repair, and technical services while meeting all applicable standards and requirements in terms of safety, quality, timelines, and cost. The Manager, Crane Mechanical directs Foremen and Longshore personnel to meet short and long-term production and maintenance goals. Under the general direction of the Manager, Maintenance, the Manager, Crane Mechanical supervises, problem solves, and makes decisions relating to all quay crane, RMG, and RTG infrastructure and equipment on site. This role provides leadership to the foremen and unionized maintenance department to meet production and maintenance schedules and has full cost accountability as well as assigned capital project responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach and bring a track record of having successfully led a unionized workforce within a heavy industrial setting, ensuring a high standard of quality, safety, and reliability. The Manager, Crane Mechanical will be a critical thinker and project manager with excellent leadership ability, communication skills, and current knowledge of relevant equipment.
