Senior Director, Infrastructure & Capital Projects

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Director, Infrastructure & Capital Projects provides expert advice on the long-term capital planning for PavCo’s buildings ($2B worth of assets), while overseeing the strategic planning and successful delivery of capital projects that are vital to the ongoing operation and continual innovation of PavCo facilities. This role provides direct leadership to the Capital Projects team and indirect leadership for Facilities teams at the Vancouver Convention Centre and BC Place Stadium. As the principal lead on all capital projects with significant size and scope, this position ensures that PavCo’s objectives are met relative to superior customer service, safety, sustainability, reliability, and seamless project execution.

The Senior Director, Infrastructure & Capital Projects will possess an impressive project management background, with the proven ability to work collaboratively, effectively, and positively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Ideally, candidates will have overseen a wide range of highly visible and uniquely challenging projects within an operating environment dedicated to exemplary customer service. The Senior Director’s values encompass a strong belief in the concepts of process analysis and efficiencies; team and relationship building; innovation; communication; and partner collaboration in the development of all planning, design, and construction processes. Candidates will be professional engineers with expertise in project management methodologies (PMP designation) and sustainability best practices (LEED certification). Additionally, they will be comfortable with ambiguity, possess a learning mindset, and be able to stay calm in high pressure situations.
