With tremendous investment being made at DP World Canada’s terminals, an opportunity exists to join this world-class organization during a time of expansion.  Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance, the Maintenance Engineer supports the installation, inspection, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment at DP World Canada’s Vancouver terminal. The duties of the role focus on project development, maintenance planning, creation and achievement of KPIs and implementing reliability initiatives and comprehensive failure analysis. The Maintenance Engineer works with both maintenance and operations to meet preventative and proactive maintenance schedules and has project and reporting responsibilities for the maintenance area.

 

As the ideal candidate, you possess at least 5 years’ experience managing within a heavily unionized workforce on planned, emergency, preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Ideally your background includes leadership, project management and maintenance planning within a plant, mill, or terminal operation where 24/7 uptime is essential. In addition, you bring a successful track record of maintaining PLC controls and electrical systems for related industrial equipment. The Maintenance Engineer will be a critical thinker and project manager with excellent leadership ability, communication skills and current knowledge of RTG and Quay Crane equipment.  A Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering with an Electrical focus is required and a P.Eng. designation is an asset.
