The Supplier Quality Coordinator works closely with all departments and subcontractors / Suppliers to ensure that subcontractors / suppliers meet or exceed quality standards and specifications including those required by TS-16949 and ISO14001 for products, processes, services, and documentation requirements. The Supplier Quality Coordinator controls Incoming Quality of products and services and implements proactive plans for continuous improvement through supplier development
1. Schedules and performs subcontractor audits/visits in co-operation with appropriate Presstran team members as per planned schedule for supplier development and continuous improvement in supplier products, processes, services and delivery. 2. Follows up with subcontractors and verifies successful implementation of corrective and preventive actions as part of development activities. 3. Reviews subcontractors' prints and specifications. Designates SC's and CC's and issues and/or updates "Subcontractor Quality Requirements" forms. 4. Initiate, review, approve / reject and follow-up with subcontractors on PPAP submissions for materials, components and fasteners. Develop suppliers in doing PPAP and process reviews as per Presstran / AIAG standards. 5. Maintain subcontractor PPAP / Corrective Actions and other related documentation submitted to Presstran. 6. Checks process capabilities and performs statistical analysis using core quality tools 7. Review Supplier NCR on daily basis, monitor material disposition and get supplier product returned. 8. Performs daily plant walks and participates in T1 meetings as necessary. 9. Contact subcontractors and initiate Subcontractor Corrective Action Reports (SCAR) for suspect or defective products. 10. Follow up on SCAR's to verify subcontractor completion of corrective actions and closure of NCR's. 11. Work with Presstran personnel on APQP and cross-functional teams to deal with subcontractor component, fastener and material issues. 12. Reviews internal functions, materials or ES testing on subcontracted components for PPAP submissions. 13. Revise and maintain Subcontractor Requirements Manual. 14. Comes to work each day, as scheduled 15. Approaches each day and each challenge with a positive attitude. 16. Conducts themselves in a professional manner when receiving or giving feedback/information, whether it is positive or constructive 17. Supports and models the Presstran operational procedures/policies, Employee Handbook and "How We Work Together", Magna Employee's Charter, Magna Corporate Constitution 18. Follows and complies with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environmental programs (eg. TS16949, ISO14001) 19. Takes pride in keeping their work area clean and tidy. 20. Other duties as required
Knowledge and Education
1. Post-Secondary graduate with a technical diploma or degree 2. Must be proficient using CAD and Microsoft software: Excel, Word PowerPoint 3. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are required. 4. Prior experience implementing TS-16949 procedures, APQP, PPAP submissions, GD&T, Flow Diagrams, FMEA's, Control Plans, and working independently with tooling and material subcontractors. 5. Planned and Executed Incoming Inspection Systems and processes. 6. Additional Quality certificate / diploma will be an asset 7. Internal or lead auditor experience for TS16949 and/or ISO 14001 an asset

Equipment: PC, telephone, fax machine, photocopier, various measuring instruments Software: Microsoft Office, databases, spread-sheets, word processing, AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop, etc.
The Supplier Quality Coordinator is responsible for all subcontractor quality assurance activities related to the development of new and existing products. Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice is required in addition to working within a plant environment.
