Job Description

This position’s primary responsibility is designing of Industrial electrical systems for Wexxar/Bel/IPak/Dekka machines.

  • Design electrical control systems for automated machinery, performing calculations as required to define component selection.
  • Create electrical schematics, layout drawings and wiring diagram
  • Complete electrical Bill of Materials (BOM) for custom orders
  • Perform PLC & HMI program upload, download and modification
  • Assist with machine commissioning on electrical related problem resolution
  • Technical support for customers (via telephone, emails)
  • Keep current with PLC & HMI programming techniques and control automation technology
  • Other duties which fall within the employee’s capabilities


  • Electrical engineering technologist diploma or degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role focused on automated machinery
  • Demonstrated experience with industrial electrical codes and electrical safety requirements
  • Demonstrated experience creating electrical schematics and panel layout drawings using CAD (SolidWorks Electrical is preferred)
  • Experience with PLC, HMI, VFD and Servo motor control and panel building is highly recommended
  • Proven ability to communicate with other colleagues regarding the understanding of PLC & HMI programming, motor control, Industrial communication network, wiring techniques related topics
  • Excellent prioritization skills with minimal guidance and direction
  • Ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional and/or cross-technology team
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication
