The School of Engineering invites applications from dynamic individuals who excel in hands-on research in physical and/or chemical processes for drinking water treatment.  Relevant research areas include development and evaluation of advanced oxidation processes, ion exchange, membrane processes or other advanced processes for drinking water treatment. The candidate must be able and willing to teach courses at all levels, including senior environmental engineering design courses, graduate courses and first year general math and science courses. The ideal candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, microbiologists, and chemists on local and global water quality issues.

The successful candidate must have demonstrated research excellence, exceptional communication skills, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. Experience with undergraduate and graduate student supervision is desirable. The successful candidate would be expected to participate in departmental service and activities, with a broad network of engineers in academic and industry settings. The successful candidate, in collaboration with existing faculty members, will be expected to foster and promote entrepreneurial aspiration of the students and the school-at-large. Evidence of establishing international collaborations would be an asset.
