We are looking for a vibrant and dynamic Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer to support our Automotive and Surface Transportation portfolio. This individual will manage projects to design, develop, integrate and evaluate new systems, assembly cells and architectures in the area of future manufacturing concepts and systems. The Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer would be someone who shares our core values of impact, accountability, leadership, integrity and collaboration.

NRC Automotive and Surface Transportation portfolio (AST-NRC) has the mandate to advance product and process technologies for producing more fuel-efficient, affordable, and environmentally responsible ground vehicles and to deliver engineering solutions to complex technology challenges facing surface transportation industries, including heavy vehicles and rail.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.


Experience

Significant and recent Engineering experience in the Industrial Manufacturing Sector.

Significant experience in project management of complex engineering projects working in multi-disciplinary teams.

Significant experience in creating and modifying PLC programs and industrial networks programs for the control of electromechanical systems.

Experience with factory automation technology such as sensors, LANs, vision systems, robotics, embedded software and/or communications protocols.

Experience in standard test and validation methods and analysis including data collection and analysis, overseeing data production, and ensuring data quality.

Basic experience in business development, marketing activities, and/or the development of partnerships and collaborations.

 

Equivalency

An equivalent combination in Mechanical Engineering along with relevant experience will also be considered.
