The Faculty of Applied Science's School of Engineering at UBC's Okanagan campus has assembled world-class faculty and developed an innovative engineering curriculum to offer undergraduate and graduate engineering degrees in Electrical, Civil and Mechanical specializations.  The campus is situated in one of the most scenic and appealing regions in Canada.  It offers faculty and students an intimate environment for learning and research.  The School of Engineering is located in a new state-of-the-art building.

The School of Engineering invites outstanding individuals to apply for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Electrical Engineering.  Applicants must have a strong record of outstanding research productivity in Electrical Engineering, a commitment to quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and active participation in service to the university and the profession. Applicants must have a Ph.D., and should have, or be eligible to pursue, registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. The successful candidates in collaboration with existing faculty members will foster and promote entrepreneurial aspiration of the students and the school-at-large.

Area of Priority: ELEC – Electrical Engineering (Job Opening ID #25182)

The desired area of research and expertise is in electrical engineering. Applicants must have a proven record of research productivity and impact, exceptional communication skills and a consistent record of excellent teaching. Experience with undergraduate and graduate student supervision is also desirable. Candidates would be expected to actively participate in departmental activities, service, events, and initiatives. The successful candidate will work with a broad network of electrical, software and computer engineers in academic and industry settings.
