Coulson Ice Blast currently has a multitude of positions available. 

 

Required: Engineer (Software / Network)

 

The successful candidate will have a valid engineering degree from an accredited university.  

 

They will be responsible for assisting the Senior Engineer with the overall design, development, testing, integration and certification of software and network systems for different aspects of the Coulson Ice Blast system.

 

This may include, but not be limited to, Ice Blast machine control systems design, implementation and maintenance including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) selection and sourcing, control system architecture and programming, system coding, Human Machine Interface (HMI) layout and programming, software development, data acquisition systems design, web-based and remote machine communication and control systems design.

 

Experience in any or all of these disciplines is a benefit:

 

- PLC selection, sourcing and programming

- Familiarity with a variety of PLC programming languages

- Web-based design

- Digital and analog sensors and protocols

- Communication protocols

- Panel layout design and construction

- Remote data collection, logging and machine control

- Component sourcing

- Regulatory disciplines

- Abrasive blast or other cleaning equipment design or use

- Machine electrical design experience

- OEM equipment design 

- New product development

- Familiarity with Solidworks CADD, AutoCAD and other engineering software.

 

The successful candidate must work well with a multi-disciplined design team and clients in a very dynamic environment.   Coulson Ice Blast engineers are also expected to perform various “hands-on” tasks as part of their normal responsibilities. The ability to perform client site visits and support in a global business setting is required.

 

Remuneration is negotiable
